01 — OUR APPROACH

Value is function divided by cost. We work on both sides of the line.

Value Function Life-cycle cost

Value engineering is a structured, team-based review that asks what each element of a project must do, then finds the most economical way to do it. Applied early in design, it removes unnecessary cost, improves constructability and lowers operating and maintenance spend across the asset's life.

02 — SERVICES

What we deliver

From concept design through construction, each engagement is scoped to the project stage and the decisions still open.

S.01

Value Engineering Workshops

Facilitated multidisciplinary studies following the SAVE International job plan, with owners, designers and specialists in the room.

S.02

Life-Cycle Cost Analysis

Comparing design options on capital, energy, operation, maintenance and replacement cost over the full service life.

S.03

Design & Constructability Review

Independent review of drawings and specifications to catch over-design, conflicts and buildability issues before tender.

S.04

Cost Estimation & Planning

Elemental estimates, cost models and budget benchmarking that give the VE team a reliable baseline to work from.

S.05

Risk & Value Management

Identifying cost, schedule and technical risks alongside value opportunities, with clear owners and mitigation actions.

S.06

Implementation Support

Tracking accepted proposals into revised design and procurement so that agreed savings are actually realised.

03 — PROCESS

The six-phase job plan

A disciplined sequence that moves a team from understanding the project to decisions the owner can act on.

  1. 1

    Information

Gather drawings, costs, constraints and the owner's objectives.

  2. 2

    Function Analysis

Define what each element must do and map cost to function.

  3. 3

    Creative

Generate alternative ways to perform the same functions.

  4. 4

    Evaluation

Screen ideas against criteria and shortlist the strongest.

  5. 5

    Development

Detail each proposal with costs, sketches and implementation notes.

  6. 6

    Presentation

Present recommendations and agree decisions with the owner.

DELIVERABLE A VE report with priced proposals, accepted decisions and an implementation log, ready for the design team.
